Thousands of people flocked to Lisburn city centre for the big Christmas lights switch-on.
People of all ages braved the cold winter weather as they lined Bow Street and Market Square to watch the magical Christmas lantern parade.
The council-organised event saw Dynamic Brass Band and pupils from Harmony Hill Primary School entertain the crowds before Mayor Brian Bloomfield flicked the switch to turn on the Christmas lights. Gransha Youth and SERC Performing Arts students were joined by pupils from Ballymacash Primary, Brownlee Primary, Carr Primary, Largymore Primary, St Aloysius Primary and Tonagh Primary in the magical lantern parade, which signalled the arrival of the main man himself, Santa Claus.
