Once again thousands of people from all over the world will visit the Belfast Market to sample the
hundreds of gastronomic delights for hungry festive shoppers.
There is food from all corners of the globe including Crepes from France, Italian Chocolate, Spanish Paella, tasty cheeses and the biggest selection of Salami we have ever seen. And of course, over the years the market has been famous for serving up Ostrich, Wild Boar and Kangaroo burgers, which if you haven’t tried yet is definitely worth a taste.

Another must visit stall is the Schwenkgrille for one of the famous Giant Bratwurst sausages.

It may be absolutely freezing at this time of year but as you walk around the market there is plenty to keep you warm. You can relax in the Continental Bar and Lavery’s traditional Irish Bar where you can hear some great live music or wander around the German Gluwein and Bratwurst Stands enjoying a great glass of warming mulled wine.

And it’s never too cold for an ice cream! North Belfast ice cream specialists Rossi’s also make an appearance this year selling delicious homemade Italian ice cream as well as the very popular Ice Cream Chimneys.

As well as food stalls there is something for everyone including jewellery, handcrafted gifts, wooden toys, Christmas decorations and a whole range of stocking fillers. Kid’s can also visit Santa’s Grotto, take a ride on the Carousel, get a photo taken inside the Snow Globe, toast marshmallows and find out all about the magical world of the Irish Fairy Door Company.

Also flying the flag for local businesses outside the main gates is the Belfast Beard Company who are the winners of this year’s Pitch Perfect competition and have a wide range of shaving kits and other beard related products on sale.

The market is open Monday to Wednesday 10am – 8pm, Thursday to Saturday 10am -
